The #1 Thing NEW Coaches MUST do! [MARKETING 101]

You've decided to be a coach? 

This is the very FIRST thing you need to do in your marketing plan. 

The very first thing you need to do when you decide to become a new coach is create an opt-in funnel.

What is an Opt-In Funnel?

An opt-in funnel is an opt-in page and a thank you page. 

Simply, two separate pages on your website.

The opt-in page collects the user's email address so you can give them a lead magnet (something of value).

The user (new lead) gives you their email address and you give them a golden nugget of value. 

It's the "handshake", if you will, of your customer relationship.  


What is a Lead Magnet?

A lead magnet is some free information that you're going to give them.

You create something in Google Docs, save it as a PDF and then send that to them.

It can be a recipe.

It can be fitness exercise program for the day

It can be three things that guarantee success in your fitness program.

It can be a checklist... It can be anything!

Don't over complicate it.

Think of something simple, of value, that you can give to your potential lead so that they'll give you their email address.

1. A new lead gives you their email address
2. You give them the lead magnet

Now you have them on your email list. Step 1... done!

Why is an email list so important?

Expert marketers will tell you that every person on your email list is worth a dollar.

So if you have 10,000 people on your email list,  you should be making about 10 grand ($10,000) a month with that list!

That's an average so you can make a lot more than that or you can make a lot less.

That's why you want to grow your email list!

Another thing is, as you get more people on your list, you can continue to nurture them and lead them to something that you want them to pay for as in coaching or a product that you're selling as a coach.

That's why a list is super important. That's why new coaches need an opt-in funnel.

The truth is, without following up, you're probably not going to get anything.

So, after your handshake, be sure to keep in touch with your new lead.

My recommendation is to send at least 7 emails after the initial download of the lead magnet. 

Each email should be packed with value but always remember, simple is best.

You are knee deep in the ocean of your business but they are just getting their feet wet.  

Feed your new lead small bite-size nuggets they can swallow.

This will ensure success and a happy long-time client.
